About Fredrik L.¶
Sr. Software Engineer | AI & LLMs¶
Senior Software Engineer with experience building enterprise systems spanning cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes), backend development (Java, Spring, Python), and AI technologies (LLMs, agentic systems, RAG). My decade in globalization and internationalization gives me unique perspective on building software—and now AI systems—that work across languages, cultures, and markets.
LidenLab is my personal engineering lab—a space where I experiment with emerging AI technologies. Here I explore LangChain, LangGraph, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), vector search, and whatever new AI tools catch my interest.
Current Focus¶
I'm currently focused on:
- LLMs & agentic systems for multilingual experiences (LangChain, LangGraph, MCP)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation and vector search for localized content
- Enterprise globalization and internationalization workflows
- Cloud platform engineering with AWS, Kubernetes, and automation pipelines

AI Engineering Experience¶
LLM Integration & Development¶
- RAG Systems: Exploring vector databases and semantic search patterns
- AI Agents: Building multi-step workflows with LangChain, LangGraph, and MCP for tool use and memory. Evaluating AWS Bedrock Agents and emerging agentic frameworks
- Cloud AI Platforms: Experience with AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI for LLM deployment and management
- LLM APIs: Working with OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini) models
Emerging Technologies & Tools¶
- Model Context Protocol (MCP): Exploring AI tool integration and server development
- Function Calling: Implementing tool use patterns and schema design
- Prompt Engineering: Applying optimization techniques like chain-of-thought and few-shot learning
- AI-Assisted Development: Daily use of AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for both code assistance and agentic coding workflows
Enterprise Engineering Practices¶
Experience working within strict enterprise development processes and production standards:
- CI/CD & Release Management: Jenkins pipelines, Artifactory for artifact management, canary deployments, integration/gold builds with rigorous approval gates
- Testing & Quality: TestKube for continuous testing, automated regression suites, test coverage requirements
- Infrastructure & Deployment: Kubernetes deployment manifests, Helm charts, infrastructure as code, service discovery
- Monitoring & Observability: Grafana dashboards, Prometheus metrics, structured logging (Kafka, S3), Kibana for log analysis
- Reliability & Operations: 24/7 on-call rotations, service level objectives (SLOs), health checks, incident response procedures
- Security & Governance: Strict security protocols, change management workflows, approval processes, compliance requirements
While I haven't architected these systems, I work within them regularly—understanding that production-grade engineering is what separates prototypes from enterprise software.
Certifications & Credentials¶
AI/ML Certifications:
- AWS Certified AI Practitioner (2024-2027)
